The cyber insurance market, specifically for schools, is very challenging with large premium increases and coverage limitations for many schools, especially those with limited or no protections in place.

Realizing the challenges that our members face and the cost associated with protecting sensitive data, the Ohio School Plan board has authorized $1,000,000 to be distributed to help our members work toward best practices in cyber protection. 

Ohio School Plan members’ portion of the $1,000,000 cyber grant will be determined by a combination of years of membership and premium contributions subject to a minimum of $1,000 per member.

At least two of the following people must attend our one-hour online training opportunities.

• Treasurer
• Superintendent
• Business Manager
• IT Professional (highly recommended)

Member’s will receive the amount of their cyber grant after attendance by the required personnel at one of the upcoming virtual training sessions.
